A bird’s eye view of my Jasmine Blooming Flower Tea. Ain’t it a beaut? It’s like drinking art.
The tea was a 26th birthday gift from my dear friend Rebecca, who brought them home following her trip to China. Blooming Flower Teas are typically imported from Fujian Province (near Shanghai) and handmade by wrapping green tea leaves around a combination of flowers. The magic starts as soon as you let the ball steep. I recommend doing so in a tall and clear glass for maximum enjoyment. You can use the flower for 2 - 3 steeps so good for a day’s worth of drinking.
Please note, however, that co-workers will get freaked out by the ‘alien’ growing in your glass. Whatever. More for you!
You can purchase here, but after I finish these I may go on a Chinatown hunt for more. Keep you posted.
