I caught this yesterday in an afternoon matinee with a friend. We spent the entire credits passing tissues to each other and still had to make a trip to the bathroom to make sure we were presentable human beings when we left the theater at 5 pm.
All I can say it that this film honestly deals with what it feels like to make a change - ostensibly “for the better” - in your life when the environment which precipitated that change isn’t changing with you. For me, it’s a must-watch of the Blue Valentine sort.
